Founded in 1931 as the Sino-Belgian Radium Institute, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center (FUSCC) has grown into China's premier cancer specialist hospital and one of the largest oncology centers in Asia. Designated a Grade III-A tertiary cancer hospital, it serves as a national clinical research hub for oncology.
With over 2,700 beds and more than 40,000 surgeries performed annually, the center handles over 1.8 million outpatient visits and 90,000 inpatient admissions each year. Its clinical strength lies in multidisciplinary, precision-driven care for major malignancies, including lung, breast, gastric, colorectal, esophageal, pancreatic, liver, gynecologic, head and neck, and urologic cancers.
