Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University
Beijing Children's Hospital, affiliated with Capital Medical University, was founded in 1942 as Beijing Private Children's Hospital. It has since grown into China's largest pediatric hospital and serves as the National Center for Children's Medicine, operating across two campuses with approximately 1,200 beds and a workforce of over 4,000 staff. The hospital handles more than 3 million outpatient and emergency visits annually, making it one of the busiest children's hospitals in the world. 
The hospital is built on multiple National Clinical Key Specialties. Its Pediatric Surgery division is a National Key Discipline and China's foremost center for neonatal surgery and pediatric urology. Pediatric Orthopedics ranks nationally for congenital musculoskeletal conditions. The Neonatology department serves as a national reference center for critically ill newborns. Pediatric Hematology and Pediatric Cardiology are both top-ranked nationally, excelling in childhood leukemia and congenital heart disease. Pediatric Otolaryngology and Pediatric Ophthalmology are additional national strengths, alongside Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Neurology, all holding key national designations.
