Beijing Xuanwu Hospital
Founded in 1958, Xuanwu Hospital is a large tertiary Grade-A general hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, located in Xicheng District, Beijing. With over 1,100 beds and a staff of more than 3,000, it has grown into one of China's leading institutions for neurological and geriatric care, serving as the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases. The hospital is best known for its dominant clinical strengths in neurosurgery and neurology. It pioneered functional neurosurgery in China, particularly deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.
